Must do in Herceg-novi

ENGLISH:

Herceg-Novi is a little city located in the northwest of Montenegro, and is a great spot to summer holidays.

It is super calm and quiet, and despite being a small town, is full of culture, beaches and good gastronomy.

Here´s a list of things you must do in Herceg-Novi.

"Плажа поштења" BEACH:

• This beach is called "Плажа поштења" (yes, the name is weird, but If you put this name on Google Maps, you´ll know where it is), and its localization is really close to the border between Croatia and Montenegro.

• You can have a free spa experience there, because it has a kind of clay, which you can use as a body or face mask.

• It really works, I tried it.

FORTRESS SPANJOLA:

• Fortress Spanjola or Spanish Fortress is one of the most beautiful fortresses in Herceg-Novi.

• It is located in one of the highest hills in Herceg-Novi.

• There you can have a stunning view to the old town and the bay.

KANLI KULA:

• Also knowed as "bloody tower" used to be a prision at war time.

• Nowadays Kanli Kula is a castle, fortress and theater.

• In 1979, Kanli Kula scene was destroyed by an earthquake, fortunately, in 1988 it was rebuilt.

• Many shows take place there as Songchae Scala Music Festival and the annual Film Festival.

HOW TO GET THERE:

• We went to Dubrovnik, and because the airport was so close to Herceg-Novi (35minutes), we went there, and we got surprised with the beautiful city.

• Then you have Tivat Airport (1h ) or Podgorica Airport ( 2h 30min ).

Aqui está uma lista de coisas que deves fazer em Herceg-Novi.

"Плажа поштења" BEACH:

• Esta praia é chamada "Плажа поштења" (eu sei, o nome é estranho, mas se colocares este nome no google maps vais saber onde fica) e está localizada muito perto da fronteira entre a Croácia e Montenegro.

• Podem ter uma experiência de spa gratuita, porque essa praia tem uma espécie de barro que pode servir com máscara para a cara ou corpo.

• Eu experimentei e resultou.

FORTRESS SPANJOLA:

• Fortress Spanjola ou Spanish Fortress é um dos mais bonitos fortes em Herceg-Novi.

• Está localizado numa das maiores colinas de Herceg-Novi.

• Lá em cima consegue ter uma vista incrível para a old town e para a baía.

KANLI KULA:

• Também conhecido como "torre de sangue" era uma prisão no tempo de guerra.

• Hoje Kanli Kula é um castelo, um forte e um teatro.

• Em 1979, o palco do teatro ficou destruído por um terramoto de terra, felizmente, em 1988 foi reconstruído.

• Muitos espetáculos são feitos lá como Songchae Scala Music Festival e the annual Film Festival.

COMO CHEGAR LÁ:

• Nós fomos a Dubrovnik, e como o aeroporto era tão perto de Herceg-Novi (35 minutos), fomos lá e ficámos surpreendidos com a linda cidade.

• Depois também existe o Aeroporto de Tivat ( 1h ) e o Aeroporto de Podgorica ( 2h 30m ).
